From Incarceration to Recovery!

Wisdom from the Youth

Youth M.O.V.E. Oregon trains and supports each member of the panel to prepare them for their unique presentations that day, their availability during the event, and providing support afterwards. We work hard to find panelists who are able to represent the diverse communities we serve and the systems we experience and use.

Youth and Young Adult Panels

This training was created to help others understand the experiences of youth and young adults as they progress through our youth serving systems into adulthood. Through panels of youth with diverse experiences in systems of care, we provide a rich, thought-provoking discussion and an opportunity for providers to learn from the young people they serve.

This panel will share some of these young adults' incredible stories and how they remained resilient despite the many challenges they faced on the path to success. What service and supports were effective? What advice would they give to service providers and community members?

This panel of youth will share the challenges and successes of experiencing higher level care. They will leave you with recommendations for improvements, and inspiration to keep on moving forward, thinking outside the box, and revolutionizing what we typically think the definition for Residential Treatment is.

This panel of young individuals will speak honestly about their experiences with stigma and how they persevered and overcame the all-too-often truth about these high risk youth.

Experiences with Wraparound Peer Support Providers - Does it Make a Difference?

To Recovery and Beyond!

During this panel discussion, we will hear from both youth and their Wraparound Peer Support Providers and learn about the outcomes of this new model from the youth themselves!

This group of youth will share their decisions regarding the often controversial use of psychotropic medications. What is it? Why would someone choose to utilize it? What information did each individual use to make this important decision? How can professionals help them with this decision and with treatment?
